On successful completion of this Course the participant will be able to:
Administer basic first aid for the following:
- Perform CPR
- Basic emergency first aid
- Burns
- Limb injuries
- Head, neck and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Poisoning
- Bites and Stings
- Over exposure to heat and cold
- Anaphylaxis
- The acutely ill
- An ability to analyse, process and undertake required knowledge and skills of course
- Willingness to engage in group activities
- Recognised prior learning will be considered on the merits of application as underpinned by organisational policy and procedures (provided on application)
- Credit Transfer is provided for academic achievements from all other Registered Training Organisations
- Employed in an agency which can provide the experience to meet course competencies
- Access and equity is applied to all training acceptance

This course is delivered over 16 hours, incorporating group activities and scenarios that can be tailored to suit your industry/environment.
Course Delivery
Haley College can design and deliver training to meet your organisation’s requirements and time frames. Delivery can be organised to be undertaken in Haley College’s training rooms or your Organisation’s work premises.
Structured training days for individuals are offered during the week or on alternative Saturdays to provide a flexible delivery to meet the individual’s needs.
Course Delivery
This Course is delivered over two days, and can be offered on site in your organisation, or you can attend the Training Rooms of Haley College. (Right next to Oakleigh Railway Station) A variety of delivery times are available.

All Trainers at Haley College have current experience in workplace training and assessment. Your Trainer will be your main point of contact throughout your training to ensure your learning experience is a positive and supportive experience.
